I help families rebuild their health from the ground up — quite literally. But the real beginning of this work goes back to 2012–2013, when I became unwell and found myself stuck in a loop of unanswered questions and unsatisfying solutions. “Wait and see” wasn’t good enough, and I wasn’t willing to take no for an answer. So I went searching — into food, gut health, nutrition science, and the everyday habits that genuinely move the needle. Bit by bit, I rebuilt my own health, discovering how much power sits in the simple things: real food, routine, gut repair, and a kitchen that works for you rather than against you. That journey now shapes everything I teach. As a nutrition coach with a deep focus on gut health, real food, and sustainable home cooking, my work centres on making healthy living feel achievable, enjoyable, and completely doable for busy households. Through At Home with Mrs E, I teach everyday nutrition in a way that blends science with seasonality, kitchen-garden wisdom with practical recipes, and modern family life with the slow-food habits our bodies thrive on. Think: bone broths simmering away, veggies grown a few metres from the back door, freezer-friendly meals, fermented foods, and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing exactly what’s in your food. My approach is gentle but effective — no extreme diets, no fear-based messaging, no pressure to become a full homesteader overnight. Just small, consistent shifts that support gut repair, steady energy, family-friendly eating, and long-term wellbeing.
