MRB was founded in 1992 as a media research company designed to assist leading business and trade publications in story development. MRB worked with media outlets at McGraw Hill, Penton, Ziff Davis, CMP and others to plan the upcoming segments of various publications. We would join editorial meetings to discuss topics and assignments. MRB would research topics of the stories planned and prepare research packages that were presented to the assigned writers. Our research provided these writers with the information needed to craft their story (sources, analyst information, compiled research/data, story ideas, previous coverage, and information resources). It would also help publications develop coverage that was different than competing publications. MRB staffers have prepared and coordinated (not merely placed) stories in association with 20/20, CNBC, CNN, PBS Specials, The Today Show, Associated Press, Business Week, Entrepreneur, Forbes, Fortune, Time, U.S. News & World Report, and the Wall Street Journal, to name just a few. Our agency consistently generates news of our clients in America's most influential media. We have placed client stories in virtually every major business media outlet, including cover stories in publications such as Inc., CIO, Success, and Fortune.
