The Maternal Quality of Care Indicator (MQI) Work Group is comprised of independent clinicians and research scientists who have joined together to develop an evidence base aimed to support clinically meaningful measures of quality indicators related to pregnancy and childbirth. In order to be considered a meaningful indicator, the measure must be linked to clinical practices and health outcomes. In the case of pregnancy, because there are two patients, the measures should, ideally, encompass both maternal and neonatal outcomes. Lisa Korst MD, PhD, is a board certified Obstetrics Gynecologist with experience as a practicing clinician, field epidemiologist and health service researcher; Moshe Fridman, PhD is a statistician; Kimberly Gregory MD, MPH is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine with a research interest in quality of care and public policy; Samia El Haj Ibrahim, MPH is the project coordinator. Having worked together collectively since 1996 and independently for up to 30 years, this group has collaborated or provided consultative expertise to numerous local, regional and national health care and/or health policy entities including but not limited to:Current Collaborators
