Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.
Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.
Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.
You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
Crutchfield is an award-winning North American electronics retailer, specializing in categories like mobile audio, speakers, TVs, headphones and more. We are honored to have earned Bizrate.com's Circle of Excellence Platinum Award for nearly 20 years – the only one of more than 5,000 online retailers to do so.
Since 1974, Crutchfield has grown tremendously. We’re known for our info-packed catalog, and we’ve also expanded to serve consumer and B2B needs in the U.S. and Canada, via our robust web presence and innovative online tools. We’ve retained our hometown roots in Charlottesville while expanding our call centers, distribution facilities and stores to additional Virginia locations. Crutchfield is privately owned and has never experienced a layoff. Founder and CEO Bill Crutchfield still leads the company and is a respected figure in the CE industry – in fact, he was inducted into the Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame in 2007.
Our customers stick with us because of our long-standing dedication to excellent information, expert advice, highly-rated products, and customer-friendly policies – a commitment established by Bill early on. Car audio shoppers rely on our vehicle database, which covers more than 20,000 cars and trucks and comes from our in-house research team’s measurements of real vehicles. Every Advisor receives ten weeks of all-day, hands-on technology training and demos before helping a customer. And our skilled Tech team offers free support for any piece of gear Crutchfield has ever sold.
All these helpful people make for a fun company culture (and many stay for decades)! Our long-term stability and wide array of benefits draw folks who appreciate a customer-focused employer. In fact, employees have rated Crutchfield so highly that we’ve been honored as a "Best Places to Work in Virginia" award recipient by Virginia Business Magazine. Employee discounts on electronics and a dog-friendly HQ don’t hurt!

Our mission is to create truly moving experiences and provide total satisfaction for our customers. Using our superior technologies to create new products.
Established in Yokohama, Japan in 1927 as Victor Company of Japan, JVC became a leader in high-quality sound through the manufacture and sale of Victrola desktop phonograph players, followed by radios, Japan’s first “45/45” single-groove stereo record player, hi-fi speakers and 4-channel stereo records. JVC also played an important role in the development of television, commercializing Japan's first black-and-white and then color TVs . It also developed the two-head helical scan system, which became the foundation for videocassette recorders. In 1976, JVC introduced the world’s first VHS format video recorder, which became the de facto world standard for video and spawned an all-new culture of visual communication. Other firsts include the single-unit video camera/recorder in 1984, the pocket-sized digital video camcorder in 1995 and Everio hard-drive camcorders in 2004.
