Cerebral Palsy Alliance is a ground-breaking, global centre of expertise for cerebral palsy research, advocacy, intervention and assistive technology innovation.
- We are world leaders in cerebral palsy research, and the world’s largest private funder of cerebral palsy research
- Our research informs our world-class interventions and services which we provide across about 70 sites throughout metropolitan, regional and rural NSW and the ACT
- Our global disability tech accelerator program, Remarkable, is unlocking the potential of technology to drive greater inclusion for people with disability - we connect inclusive start-ups with the capital, expertise and skills they need to succeed.
- We use our influence to bring together communities in advocating for change.
For over 80 years, we have been driven by our founders’ vision of a future where nothing is impossible for people with cerebral palsy and similar conditions.
Together with our clients, the 50 million+ global cerebral palsy community, our 2500+ employees and 150,000+ donors, fundraisers and entrepreneurs, we are contributing to solving the next set of impossibilities.
We believe that one person can have an idea, but it takes different skills and the knowledge of many people to make that idea a reality.
This is what happens when great minds think differently.
The Disability Trust is committed to providing highly professional care and services for people with disability and their families. The Disability Trust has its roots firmly in the community, having been established in 1974 to help children with disability and their families. In recent years we have grown substantially, and now have more than 3000 permanent and casual staff providing support to more than 6000 service users.
We acknowledge and respect the continuing custodians of the many Countries and Nations on which we provide services. We recognise the enduring hardship and displacement our First Nations people have suffered and the great strength and intergenerational resilience of Elders, and honour the culture and wisdom passed down to current and emerging community leaders.
As our name implies, trust is central to our operations. As we have grown, we have maintained an over-riding commitment to quality care and support tailored to the needs of each individual.
People with disability and their families trust us to give them the highest possible levels of care and support;
our staff trust us to provide the training and support they need in their rewarding but often challenging work; and
government agencies trust us to deliver best practice standards of care and services.
The Disability Trust is committed to creating an inclusive world built on trust, respect and equality, where people with a disability live the life they choose.
