But…how can we take inspiration from an ecologist maxim of the twentieth century to devise a technological tool in the twenty first century? Easy: we keep people as the core of the business. In Biology, a community is an interacting group of various species in a common location where each one of them is necessary to attain an equilibrium and efficient functioning of the ecosystem. For us, a neighbourhood is a whole that combines different types of businesses and different types of clients, all interacting in a common geographical location during a given time, where they need each other to survive. Currently, these urban and rural ecosystems (our neighbourhoods) are suffering an imbalance, in a way that it endangers the wellbeing of its integral components (all of us!).
