Movecraft Information

Movecraft is the personal site of Colin Evoy Sebestyen. He's a motion graphics artist and instructor in San Francisco, CA. Here's his Resume. He's currently the Motion Graphics Lead at the Academy of Art University, in San Francisco. This website is a place for his work to exist online. Movecraft is also a method for thinking about how to work. While many areas of the design field have had in-depth theoretical examination and rigorous analysis, most motion design portals and texts focus on the end result or the tools. Movecraft aims to break down the creation of work into categories: Theory, Process, Editorial, and Tutorial. By examining what makes work great, when and how it's being made, hopefully this approach can be of use for working professionals and students. The intent is also to connect the discipline of motion design to the larger worlds of graphic design, animation, visual effects, time-based media and contemporary art practice.
