Literacy and Numeracy practices are the core curriculum areas that underpin all learning. Our practices incorporate rich learning tasks, problem solving and higher order thinking providing meaningful opportunities for students to deep dive into learning. At MWHPS we are committed to equipping our students to live and work successfully in the 21st Century, through a future focused learning approach. Preparing our students for an ever changing world is embraced through the integration of 21st Century Learning Skills. Our Inquiry units focussed on Global Issues empower, challenge and inspire students to create solutions for a better future. Developing an industry partnership with Google, hp, Datacom and BenQ in 2018 saw the transformation of technology practices and the establishment of The Beacon School Project The first in Australia. Due to the success of the project, it has now been rolled out across the country. The school embraces the Google platform utilising Google Classrooms to collaborate, engage, and provide timely feedback to students in fast and effective ways.
