Mount Beacon Insurance Company Information

To create a solid foundation, Mount Beacon commenced business in late 2014 through an assumption of more than 40,000 policies from Citizens Property Insurance Company. In early 2016, we will introduce our voluntary dwelling fire, DP3, program for eligible owner and tenant occupied properties. We will quickly follow it with the manufactured home and homeowners products and will continue to introduce other products in the near future. Mount Beacon plans to write new business in an amount comparable to that of our Citizens’ assumption. Agents and policyholders will be glad to know that Mount Beacon’s initial surplus of $25 million meets the rigid new standards of the State of Florida for balance sheet strength.
