Motion 58 is an award-winning production and distribution company led by Josh Epstein and Kyle Rideout. They recently wrapped four films: the dark action comedy Firesky; as writers on the Youngblood remake (Blair Underwood, Oscar nominated Director), which premiered at TIFF and is being distributed across NA; and as distributors and EPs on the CBC rock documentary AntiDiva (featuring Carole Pope, Peaches, and Rufus Wainwright) and Angela’s Shadow, winner of the VIFF Audience Choice Award. Motion 58 is also a Telefilm and CMF-approved distributor, one of the only ones located west of Ontario. Current projects include Knight’s Camp (with Judy Greer and Sophia Lillis attached, co-produced with Daniel Bekerman of The Apprentice) and an original feature for Paramount Pictures with Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers) producing. Their previous film Adventures in Public School (Judy Greer) opened TIFF’s Canada’s Top Ten and was acquired by Netflix. Their debut feature Eadweard earned five Audience Choice Awards and multiple Best Feature prizes at festivals worldwide.
