The Islamic Society of Darwin (ISD) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of services to the Darwin Muslim community and to the general Darwin community. The Society currently offers the following services: Daily prayers Jumu'ah and Eid prayers Taraweeh prayers Weekend madrasah for children Regular Hadith, Fiqh and Tafseer classes Regular Islamic classes for sisters Community dinners during Ramadhan Islamic Awareness Days Charitable food bazaars Islamic lectures The Society plays a pivotal role in spreading awareness and in clarifying misconceptions about Islam in Darwin thereby helping in the integration of Muslims into the Darwin community. ISD warmly welcomes anyone who wishes to learn more about Islam or our community to contact us or visit our community.
