The Morgan County Medical Center (MCMC) was established in 1974 by concerned residents who wanted to provide medical care in the county. The MCMC is a private, non-profit community healthcare center governed by a board of directors. The board represents local business, government, health care, and other areas. Most board members are also patients of the medical center. The Morgan County Medical Center is only partially funded by a federal grant and has to make every dollar count when it comes to providing care to prevent and manage chronic illness.
