Morehouse National Center for Primary Care Information

The National Center for Primary Care (NCPC) is an academic research, training, and resource center focused on promoting excellence in community oriented primary care and optimal health outcomes for all Americans, with a special emphasis on eliminating health disparities and improving health outcomes in underserved populations. Our key constituency group is the primary care clinicians who serve underserved communities or vulnerable, high-disparity populations. Our role at the NCPC is to empower and equip primary care clinicians with the tools and resources needed to work on the frontlines of care, especially in high disparate communities. At its core, primary care is driven by the development and maintenance of relationships between patients/families and clinicians. Primary care is essential to the well being of underserved communities because it strives to have the full participation individuals and families without cost being a prohibitive factor. Our work at the NCPC is to facilitate this core principle of primary care by ensuring that our nation’s providers can leverage our training, education and resources to provide optimal care to those who need it most.
