Our three attorneys, Norman Morcom, Stephen Anderson and Fred Pernat, together bring over 60 years experience in the profession. They have all worked extensively within industry as patent and trade mark attorneys. That experience includes extensive involvement in negotiation, licensing, collaborative research arrangements, product development and marketing. Our approach is practical rather than legalistic. Morcom Pernat's office is located in the technology and commercial precinct which surrounds Monash University, about 10km from Melbourne city centre. This is more accessible for most clients than an office in the city centre. It also facilitates more frequent face to face contact at our office and at clients' premises. That in turn produces a closer relationship, with the attorney gaining a better knowledge of each client's business strategies and the client gaining a better understanding of the intellectual property issues relevant to their particular business.
