Monty Arts Centre Information

Monty is an arts centre at the crossroads where dance, drama, video and performance meet. It is a presentation platform for everything from small-scale to medium-sized productions, both national and international. In addition, Monty also acts as a producer, accompanying artists and companies that are just starting out. Monty keeps track of developments in the performing arts. We have been doing so for 25 years. Our theatre is the première spot for theatre companies such as de Roovers and tg STAN, considered to be among the finest groups in Flanders\' theatre scene. The Monty is an invariable stop for several other theatre groups on their national or international tours (Wunderbaum, Lazarus, Abattoir Fermé, mightysociety, \'t Barre Land). Monty also keeps track of developments in contemporary dance and performance arts. We closely work together with and show work by Arco Renz, Isabelle Schad, Hooman Sharifi and Marc Vanrunxt among others. The international arts scene is the frame of reference for our defiant selection.
