Precise, intimate, awesome, Montreux Jazz Festival China combines several unique characteristics, including: • performances by some of the world’s best and most renowned musicians • a new generation of talented and emerging musicians • focus on «cultural bridges» • infusion of new technologies for a new musical era • promotion of a sustainable model for music festivals Just like the original Festival in Montreux, Switzerland, the Montreux Jazz Festival China not only brings music with the event, but also new values, including lifestyle, culture, tourism, sustainability, technology and education to music lovers. While giving some of the world’s best musicians the opportunity to perform before a Chinese audience, we will also showcase artists from minority groups in Asia and artists with disabilities. The festival is a bridge between the world and China. It is an excellent platform to present international excellency to a highly receptive audience and public as well as raise the awareness of valuable brands in the Chinese market. The second edition took place Sept 27 to Oct 2, 2023 in Suzhou, close to Shanghai. We had 30 Bands, 140+ Musicians from 20+ countries, for 6 days live on 4 stages indoor and outdoor with fantastic live performances at the idyllic Fairmont Yangcheng Lake Resort before and during the golden autumn days. This new festival offers in China for China an eclectic program on the theme “Where East Meets West”, combining Western with Chinese and Asian music. Whether you are a Jazz, Blues, R&B, Soul, Rock, Hip Hop, Pop, Reggae or Electronic Music enthusiast or simply looking to have a great time, Montreux Jazz Festival China is the place to be. This new partnership pursues the Montreux Jazz Festival’s desire to forge links with other continents and to mix different musical cultures.
