His background includes materials testing and inspection, management of large heavy civil projects, and commercial buildings construction. Mr. Zavaleta is also extremely involved in the local Bay Area business community as a board member of the NorCal CMAA Chapter, the Oakland Latino Chamber of Commerce, and member of COMTO.
