Monterey County Genealogy Society , Inc. Information

The Monterey County Genealogy Society, Inc. is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization serving the Central Coast of California. Membership benefits include monthly meetings, a bimonthly newsletter, Society-sponsored activities, including an annual conference, and various publications. The Society's Goals are to provide education, fellowship and support to its members and to the community of family history researchers both locally and throughout the world. Our officers work hard to provide interesting activities and programs in support of these goals. MoCoGenSo offers research services to individuals needing information from Monterey County records. Meetings are held on the First Thursday of each month except July at the Monterey Family History Center, 1024 Noche Buena (corner of Noche Buena and Plumas), in Seaside, CA. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for socializing and research; meetings begin at 7 p.m. The library is open until 9 p.m. on meeting nights.
