A lot has changed since the Evergreen first opened in 1921. Fortunately, much has remained the same. As in the old days, the Evergreen is still a meeting spot for all walks of life to come and enjoy a classic Yosemite experience. However, these days you will be just as likely to enjoy the company of an international tourist as that of a Park Ranger, rock climber or local resident. As owners of the Evergreen, we feel lucky to be stewards of such a special place, and we are committed to making sure the Evergreen continues to create lasting memories for another hundred years. While certain traditions have become things of the past (like bootlegging and poor shower pressure!), we are proud and excited that the Evergreen now offers an all-around lodging and guest experience that is unparalleled in the Yosemite area. Our goal is to provide gracious and friendly service, quality products, private and communal settings, and a huge array of opportunities to educate you about the Yosemite area. In true Vermont Bed and Breakfast form, The Wildflower Inn proudly serves up extraordinary country fare each morning featuring our very own homemade VT maple granola! After a restfull night in our comfortable guest rooms, visitors are always eager to start their morning in our farm house dining room, or glassed-in dining porch. Our hearty country breakfast gets you started in the right direction for a great day in the Northeast Kingdom. Once seated, you will be greeted with hot coffee, herbal tea, or if you favor something a little sweeter - hot chocolate. A delicious scone, or maybe some fruit and yogurt and some of our famous maple granola to get you started. Then order up a hot breakfast entree from the kitchen that will really fuel you for the day! Your choice of the daily special, organic eggs - any style - with maple smoked bacon or sausage, and toasted homemade bread is sure to please, or you can try our signature buttermilk or blueberry pancakes topped with sweet Cabot butter and fresh VT Maple Syrup from our sugarbush.
