Montaro Information

Montaro is a small, family-owned gallery situated deep in the heart of the Croatian region of Istria, in the medieval town of Motovun. It’s here that we not only exhibit our work, but you can also see us working on pieces on site. Since 2013 we have manufactured hand painted scarves and unique pieces of artwork, inspired by the wealth of culture and nature surrounding us in Istria. In combining the colors, as well as the texture of the various types of silk we work with, every piece is unique, and the owner can be certain of it.
