Opening its doors well over 20 years ago, Montana Foods has developed from a small family business to a significant operation through ever increasing demand for its wide range of products. The founder of Montana Foods, Andrew Papas, has always been involved in the food industry and is very passionate about fine food and creative cooking. Starting at a young age in his mother's kitchen, Andrew learnt to cook using fresh home-grown produce in traditional Mediterranean recipes. Through his obsession of infusing those traditional recipes and combining them with the very best Australian ingredients, he's created a range of unique and innovative products that appeal to both domestic and international palates. Years of international travel through South East Asia, experiencing and enjoying new exotic flavours, Andrew and has developed a range of sauces, which capture the flavours of Asia. He still continues to travel and find new inspiration for future developments of the Montana Foods range. Montana Foods reputation for quality and service are seen as the key elements that has created solid growth year after year. Montana Food's multi-award winning success has also been attributed to its focus of using only the freshest natural local ingredients, handpicked and delivered daily from farms across the country. In 2006 Montana Foods was amalgamated with the Fresh Cheese Company and the two manufacturing businesses now operate together at a new factory located in Broadmeadows, Victoria. All products are sold through The Provedore Group which is the sales arm for both entities. Today, Montana Foods has diversified into manufacturing a much larger range of gourmet products under three separate brands; Chef's Delight, La Cucinetta and Royal Orient. The Chefs Delight brand, offers a variety of innovative pestos, original and traditional dips, seafood dips and a selection of tapenades, all of which are available in both retail and food service packaging. A range of chilli sauces and antipasto products are available under the Chef's Delight brand. All these products have been created to enable use within a wide variety of culinary applications. La Cucinetta specialises in a distinctive range of gourmet salsas. Fresh, succulent, vine ripened tomatoes are finely chopped and tossed with herbs and vegetables to create unique yet delicate combinations, which will enhance any dish, hot or cold. The versatility of La Cucinetta Salsa's is unlimited. The Royal Orient range brings the exotic flavours of Asia straight to your table with an exciting selection of authentic sauces. All our Royal Orient sauces are produced by using only the highest quality herbs and spices that create exceptional flavours and textures that's made Asian cuisine one of the most exciting in the world. Each brand signifies a different product range adding to the company's strength and versatility in the gourmet food industry. A new and exciting product line which is sold and marketed under the Simply Yoghurt brand offers an exciting selection of traditional Greek style natural set yoghurt products. A range of pasta sauces, whole egg mayonnaises and aged vinegars are also being manufactured by Montana Foods and are sold under private label. Montana Foods actively collaborates with food distributors and retailers to develop private label opportunities.
