Springfield Public Schools believes that student success is our most important outcome. We seek to improve each child's quality of experience by meeting their needs—one child at a time.
We believe that the schools belong to the community and the community belongs to the schools.
We are committed to upholding the dream of opportunity for each of Springfield's children and we stand behind our vision of "Every Student a Graduate Prepared for a Bright and Successful Future."
We believe the best way to achieve this goal is by working to ensure our students, teachers, staff, parents and community members are all learning together. Through ongoing conversations with the community, we believe children are better prepared to take advantage of opportunities to allow for their success in the 21st century. We hope this web site serves as a place to have inspiring conversations, make connections and celebrate our successes as a community working and learning together.
The Corvallis School District is well-known throughout Oregon for the breadth and excellence of educational experiences it provides students at every grade level, from kindergarten through grade 12. Our students are challenged to discover their personal strengths and abilities while exploring the world around them, and they are encouraged to prepare themselves to make a difference in once they graduate.
Located in Corvallis, Oregon, our district consists of seven K-5 elementary schools, one K-8 school, two middle schools, two high schools, one alternative high school and a K-5 elementary charter school. Student enrollment for the 2014-15 school year is approximately 6,550, representing more than 47 nationalities. Our students are culturally diverse and speak 52 languages, the top five being English, Spanish, Arabic, Korean, and Chinese. Two elementary schools offer Dual Language Immersion programs, and additional support for English Language Learners is also provided at the middle and high school levels. More than twenty Honors and Advanced Placement course are offered in high school and art, music, and PE are part of a well rounded curriculum in all grade levels.
