McLaren Macomb is a 288-bed acute care hospital located in Mount Clemens, Mich. More than 400 physicians and nearly 2,000 employees work at McLaren Macomb making it one of Macomb County’s top employers. McLaren Macomb provides a full range of services, including cancer, surgical services, orthopedics and cardiovascular care. As Macomb County’s first verified trauma center, the hospital operates the busiest emergency department in Macomb County. It is also an accredited chest pain center, a certified primary stroke center and an accredited bariatric and metabolic center. McLaren Macomb is a leader in graduate medical education, offering nine residency programs and three fellowship programs. At the Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY), our mission is to improve the health and well-being of people through high-quality, cost effective healthcare in the home and community. We’ve been a vital part of New Yorkers’ lives since 1893, with a tradition of vision and action that has taken our industry in new and important directions.
On any given day, VNSNY has over 44,200 patients and health plan members in its care. In 2018, we served close to 119,000 patients in the five boroughs of New York City, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties. Our patients range from newborns to the oldest of the elderly (100+), and reflect the socio-economic and cultural diversity of the New York metro area. VNSNY CHOICE Health Plans, our managed care affiliate, shares VNSNY's mission of compassion and care for the poor, the chronically ill and elderly helping them to live safely and independently for as long as possible in their own homes and communities. VNSNY CHOICE coordinates care for its members through its Medicare and Medicaid health plans, CHOICE FIDA Complete, and CHOICE SelectHealth Special Needs Plan for HIV-positive individuals.
