Established in 1946, Monk Goodwin LLP is a firm of 15 lawyers and 20 support staff, providing high quality services in a broad range of practice areas. Our offices are located on the 8th floor of the Manitoba Hydro Building, one block north of the Law Courts. Our firm has an extensive corporate/commercial and real estate practice. Our corporate/commercial lawyers are able to facilitate a broad range of business and financial transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, loan transactions and financing. In addition, we provide advice on the formation of business entities including sole proprietorships, partnerships and incorporations. We are also pleased to assist in formulating corporate governance policies and directives. Lawyers involved in real estate practice conduct a broad range of services from residential conveyancing, to commercial purchases and sales, to realization and foreclosure proceedings. Monk Goodwin LLP's litigation practice group handles every manner of commercial and civil dispute, effectively advocating our clients' interests in the courtroom and before quasi-judicial bodies and alternative dispute resolution and other tribunals. Wherever possible, we engage in direct negotiations for fair settlements across a conference table. Our litigation lawyers practice before the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench and Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada.
