MONDI International (Shanghai) Limited Information

MONDI's story began in 1967 in Munich, Germany. Hwewig Zahm and Otto Bruestle together created MONDI limited. When they introduced the first knitwear collection, the market was overwhelming, and lots of fashion Press reported this news. At that moment, MONDI was comparable with the Italian brand MISSONI. In product design, quality and marketing, Zahm kept adding new elements to build a distinctive MONDI brand image. In the late 70s, chief designer Margaretha Ley (founder of ESCADA) introduced and developed the concept of an unique and comprehensive fashion. MONDI has developed from a simple knit family to a worldwide global international brand in 65 countries, a true elucidation of it's name originated from a Latin word "Mundi", which means world. In the 70s and 80s, MONDI became a very popular brand in Europe. Lady Diana, Princess of Wales also became a loyal customer and was photographed in numerous occasions wearing MONDI. Thus, MONDI was honor as "Royal Closet". MONDI Distribution Limited is the HQ for MONDI and locates in Hong Kong. In 2009, MONDI sets up the China Corp. in Shanghai and offically launched the Ladies wear for the Chinese market. A brand new image is introducted in Spring 2010.
