Dublin City Council is the democratically elected body that governs Dublin City. We are the largest Local Authority in Ireland. Dublin City Council takes the lead role in shaping the strategic vision of the city. It provides a diverse, multilayered and evolving range of services to both citizens and visitors to Dublin which include the provision of housing, planning, development, environmental, roads and traffic, leisure and community services.

Cork City Council provides and maintains the city's parks, roads and housing. It also drives the city's economic development and tourist offering and works every day at local level to strengthen our communities. Limerick City and County Council is the authority responsible for local government in the city and county of Limerick in Ireland. It came into operation on 1st June 2014 after the 2014 local elections. It is a merger of Limerick City Council and Limerick County Council under the provisions of the Local Government Reform Act 2014.
