MOHAN Foundation is one of India’s leading not-for-profit organizations promoting deceased organ donation & transplantation. Founded in 1997 in Chennai by philanthropists and medical professionals led by Dr. Sunil Shroff, the Foundation has been at the forefront of India’s organ donation movement for over two decades. It works to increase awareness, build professional capacity & strengthen ethical, transparent systems for organ donation across India. The Foundation supports implementation of the Transplantation of Human Organs Act (1994), which enabled deceased donation & curbed commercial organ trade.
