MDT is one of Sweden’s leading venues for contemporary choreography and performance arts. The theatre co-produces, hosts and presents both international and Sweden based dance artists with the aim of providing space for both artists and audiences to develop, discuss and experiment within contemporary dance and choreography. Founded in 1986, MDT has since been located on the island of Skeppsholmen in central Stockholm, where in a former Torpedo workshop was transformed into a stages, studios and offices for the theatre.
