Mode Lab is an Operating Design Studio. We help teams improve how their business works and build new capabilities with AI. We work primarily with small teams whose business depends on specialist knowledge and judgement. That might mean improving work that takes too much effort, turning individual AI use into a shared team practice, or developing a capability the business doesn’t yet have. We design how people and AI work together, then help your team put that design into practice. We make expertise usable in everyday work, clarify what AI can handle and where people need to decide, and build workflows, applications and systems tested on real tasks. HOW WE HELP • Assessment — understand where AI could make a worthwhile difference and what to do first. • Operating Design — work out how people, knowledge and systems should work together. • Implementation — build alongside your team or deliver a defined application, workflow or system. • Managed AI — provide ongoing operation, maintenance or improvement where needed, with responsibilities agreed for your business. Engagements can focus on design, implementation or both. We start with what needs to improve or become possible, then agree the work needed to get there.
