MoCurá™ is redefining safety in ice hockey with protective gear athletes actually want to wear. The company was founded after a near-fatal neck laceration during a Tier I hockey showcase in 2022, born from firsthand experience with traditional gear flaws. For years, neck guards were uncomfortable, bulky, and stigmatized as “uncool,” leaving players exposed to life-threatening injuries. MoCurá™ is changing that. Our high-performance neck and wrist protection combines safety, comfort, and style. MoCurá™ is venture funded by the University of Alabama, giving us the resources to innovate with advanced fabrics, cut-resistant technology, and an athlete-first design. We are building a movement to prioritize injury prevention and foster a culture of safety at every level of the sport.
