Movile
Originally called Compera, the company was founded in 1998 by Fabricio Bloisi and Fábio Póvoa in Campinas, Brazil. It later joined forces with Movile, founded by Eduardo Henrique; nTime, founded by Marcelo Sales and Rafael Duton; and Yavox, founded by Andreas Blazodaks. Together, they formed Movile (named in 2010) and grew into a group of digital businesses across Latin America. Movile has evolved alongside the technologies shaping people’s lives. From its early work in mobile services to its expansion into food delivery, logistics, ticketing and digital entertainment, the company has brought together entrepreneurship, investment and technology to build and scale businesses. Movile’s growth included acquisitions, international expansion and investments in companies such as iFood, Sympla and PlayKids. With the backing of investors including Naspers, now through Prosus, Movile supported founders and teams as they developed products, reached new markets and expanded their operations. In 2013, Movile began investing in iFood, marking the start of a relationship that became central to the group’s journey. Over the following years, it continued supporting iFood’s development and expansion, contributing to its growth. In 2019, Movile’s co-founder and CEO, Fabricio Bloisi, became CEO of iFood, when the two companies were brought together. Movile and iFood have since come together so the ecosystem can operate in an integrated way. By bringing businesses, teams, technology and expertise together, this integration strengthens collaboration and connects capabilities across the ecosystem. In 2024, Fabricio Bloisi, Movile’s co-founder and CEO and CEO of iFood, became CEO of Prosus, Movile’s largest shareholder. This next chapter builds on Movile’s entrepreneurial roots: identifying opportunities, supporting ambitious teams and using technology to solve everyday challenges. As part of iFood, that experience continues to support innovation, help entrepreneurs grow and create value.
