In 2012, Henry R. Kaufman was partially paralyzed by Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Not one to be sidelined from the active and engaged life he was used to living, Henry looked for new ways to do the things he enjoyed as he recovered. Disappointed by the options available, Henry founded Mobella along with his wife Meryl. They set out to put beautiful design at the center of every Mobella innovation, partnering with world-class designers and fellow inventors from within our community. Together, they reimagined what mobility products should be--stylish yet functional solutions that better and more boldly represent the people they're made for. From concept inception through product development, Thought Forward Design d/b/a Mobellaâ„¢ is building a new generation of mobility solutions that provide independence, dignity, safety and style. Employing human centered design and in collaboration with esteemed academic and commercial partners, we are creating modern solutions to better serve those with mobility challenges.
