Moananui is a partner-led cluster connecting organisations across maritime sectors to accelerate the development of a sustainable blue economy in Aotearoa New Zealand. With a base at Blue House, a blue economy innovation hub at Port Nelson, Moananui enables collaboration and capability building. Blue House provides a physical base for connection, collaboration, and the growth of new ventures, bringing the ecosystem together in one place. We focus on bringing the right people together, enabling practical collaboration, and supporting activity that strengthens the wider ecosystem. This includes connecting industry, research, founders, and investors, and creating opportunities for ideas to move forward. Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. It comes from people working alongside each other, sharing ideas, and tackling challenges together. Through both our network and our base at Blue House, we’re creating the conditions for those conversations and connections. The result is a growing pipeline of activity, stronger capability across the sector, and increased momentum for a more sustainable and productive blue economy. If you’re working in, or alongside, the blue economy and want to connect, we’d love to hear from you.
