MMG Canada Ltd specializes in the design, development and manufacture of magnetic materials and components, including soft ferrites, permanent magnets and iron powder. Our products are used in a variety of applications in the in the RF and microwave communications, automotive, defence and aerospace electronics, CATV distribution, instrumentation and consumer markets. With manufacturing bases in both North America and Asia and applications engineering staffed facilities around the world, MMG is perfectly positioned to provide local support to our customers for all of their magnetics needs. MMG's beginnings goes back over 70 years as several different operating companies. The Neosid family of companies began manufacturing magnetic materials in the United Kingdom in 1936. They expanded their operations into Toronto, Canada in 1952 and Lilyfield, Australia in 1956. The Port Chester, New York Krystinel Corporation founded in 1954 was acquired by the UK based Magnetic Materials Group (MMG) in 1989. In 1990, the Group also acquired the magnetic interests of Salford Electrical Instruments (SEI). In 1974, the Chennai based EID Parry India Limited, a subsidiary of the Murugappa Group, with the assistance Siemens, began the operation of a soft ferrite plant in Chennai, India. This facility was later acquired by the TT Group in 1997. The UK based TT Group, now known as TT electronics, acquired MMG in 1992. In 2010 MMG was acquired from TT Electronics. MMG Canada Ltd continues to be commited to it's global markets and customers and will continue it's supply focus into leading manufacturers in the automotive. telecommunications, computing and industrial electronics markets. MMG Canada Limited, will also continue it's focus on global reach, establishing technical and manufacturing facilities in strategic countries and maintaining the successful formula of close liaison with our customers in most major overseas markets.
