About our company: Located in the heart of the Parc Naturel des valées de la Mehaigne et de la Burdinale, the association Le Village du Saule - MMER (Maison de la Mehaigne et de l'Environnement Rural) A.S.B.L. aims to promote general knowledge of all components of the rural environment, Nature and the Mehaigne, including its tributaries, and local development in this region. Our main objectives are: 1. Development of actions in favor of rural heritage, through scientific research, popularization and awareness-raising (educational files, courses, animations, training...). 2. Management of natural sites (initiator of the Mehaigne River Contract, wetlands, marshes, spawning grounds, etc.). 3. Management and operation of tourist and other infrastructures (reception area, accommodation center, exhibition halls, village house, etc.). 4. Managing the impact of human activities on the environment with a view to sustainable development (waste management, composting, rational use of energy, etc.).
