Mitchell River Group Information

Mitchell River Group (MRG) is a private investment partnership specializing in the metals and energy industries. MRG provides seed funding and management for early stage resource projects with a primary focus on base metals, particularly nickel and uranium. The MRG group has established three substantial nickel companies over the past 5 years, including Sally Malay Mining which now has the Sally Malay project in production, Albidon Limited which has recently completed construction of the Munali Ni-Cu-Co-PGM mine and concentrator in Zambia, and Mirabella Nickel Ltd which is developing the large Santa Rita nickel project in Brazil. Reserves and resources defined by MRG companies now exceed 1.5 million tonnes of contained nickel metal. Equity and debt funding raised by MRG for project development in the past 5 years amounts to approximately US$600 million. MRG companies are listed on the London (AIM), Toronto and Australian stock exchanges. The group has also developed significant expertise in iron oxide-copper-gold (‘IOCG’) deposits and uranium through projects in Exco Resources, African Energy and Energy Ventures. MRG retains the core technical team that has conducted the resource evaluation, permitting, feasibility studies and project management for these developments. Our in-house technical capability includes leading technologies for database management, resource modelling and visualisation, GIS, geophysical modelling, mine design, metallurgical testwork programs, license management, IT and reporting.
