MIT Robotics Association Information

MITRA is the Robotics Association of MIT Campus, Anna University, which helps the institute's students gain knowledge towards the design and development of robotics systems. It gives multidisciplinary exposure (Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Software) to the students on campus. At MITRA, we strive to impart a flavour of interdisciplinary skills through real-time and interactive projects. MITRA is committed to providing all department students of MIT with a new experience in developing technologies in addition to their syllabus. The association makes them face the developing world with competitive knowledge and skills. Association believes in the concept of “Learning by Doing”. The students are trained through hands-on sessions with experts in their respective fields. Thereby the skill set of students is improved. Weekly sessions, Instagram posts and contests have been conducted so far. An annual national-level event named “Dexbot” is also organized between January to March of every year. The students from the other colleges participate in the events organized during Dexbot. The events cover a wide range of activities like hands-on sessions on Microcontroller Programming, Robotic Design, Ethical Hacking, Artificial Intelligent Systems, the Internet of Things, Robo Soccer, Robo Race, Robo War, Cryptography and many more.
