Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) is a world-class technological research university. Founded in 1870 as one of the first technological schools west of the Mississippi, Missouri S&T offers a broad array of degrees in engineering, the sciences, business, information technology, the humanities and liberal arts, and education -- all in an environment that emphasizes technological literacy. We were originally known as the University of Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy (Missouri School of Mines or MSM), then the University of Missouri-Rolla (UMR). In 2008, we became Missouri S&T.

A world leader in information sharing and networking for engineering related professionals in the mining and metallurgical fields. The Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc. (SME) has more than 15,000 members spanning the globe. SME has hosted an annual convention for over a century to allow members to learn emerging technologies, network, and interact with vendors and service providers in the mining field.

The Geological Society of America (GSA) unites a diverse community of geoscientists in a common purpose to study the mysteries of our planet (and beyond) and share scientific findings. Members and friends around the world, from academia, government, and industry, participate in GSA meetings, publications, and programs at all career levels, to foster professional excellence. GSA values and supports inclusion through cooperative research, public dialogue on earth issues, science education, and the application of geoscience in the service of humankind.
