Minima Processors Executive Summary Minima Processors’ technology enables energy efficiency improvement of up to 20x in digital processors compared to legacy solutions. The main efficiency increase comes from ultra-low voltage (subthreshold) operation and additionally the elimination of timing margins brings gains at nominal operating voltages. Compared to other upcoming solutions, which depend on painstakingly long NRE, our solution is fully scriptable and mainstream CAD compliant. Therefore our solution allows scalability over different architectures and semiconductor processes. Another differentiator from other low-power start-ups is middleware tied to the technology, enabling excellent compatibility with fine-grained DVFS. The technology has been proofed with two fully measured semiconductor runs (32-bit RISCs), one chip (RISC with crypto accelerator) has been taped out, and two customer cases (LTE CAT-0 level telecommunications DSP, hearing aid level DSP) are under design. Both the customer cases are commercial market-proven IP.
