MILPOD is an engineering and production partner for mission-critical water propulsion systems for amphibious land vehicles and unmanned surface vessels - combining platform-level hydrodynamic insight with propulsion design, validation and integration capability for defense manufacturers that cannot rely on generic solutions. Established as the propulsion brand of YKSN in 2017, MILPOD brings hydrodynamic analysis, CFD/FEA-based design, mechanical engineering, prototyping, production, testing and integration support under one specialist roof. We work where vehicle hydrodynamics, propulsion architecture and defense requirements meet. Our philosophy is Bespoke Engineering. We do not approach propulsion as a catalogue selection exercise. Every platform has its own hull geometry, wake field, powertrain layout, packaging limits, duty cycle and mission profile. MILPOD engineers each solution around these constraints to extract the highest achievable in-water performance, reliability and integration quality. Our capability covers the full development chain: requirement analysis, resistance and power prediction, wake and propulsion interaction, geometry optimization, propulsion selection, mechanical design, CFD/FEA verification, prototyping, factory acceptance testing, environmental validation and vehicle-level test support. MILPOD’s portfolio includes conventional and ducted propeller pod systems, L-Drive waterjets, direct-drive waterjets, pump jets, and supporting subsystems such as steering actuators, couplings, gearboxes and control units. This breadth allows us to support prime contractors from early concept studies to validated propulsion packages. With nearly 1,000 propulsion systems delivered across international defense programs, MILPOD combines engineering depth with industrial maturity.
