Milly Sleeping first opened in Carlton (in the north of inner-city Melbourne). Its focus was locally-made clothing, jewellery and accessories by independent labels and makers. The business was established in 2005 by Janette and Leah Muddle. After twelve wonderful years, the bricks and mortar stored closed in early 2018. Now, Milly Sleeping has a suite of in-house labels. Janette and Leah are the primary makers, producing a unique range of textile (and some paper) products including garments, homewares and artworks. They also source and sell a small selection of secondhand pieces, under the label, ' Millicent '. Milly Sleeping products are currently sold online only.
