The Mill general purpose CPU architecture takes new approaches in most major areas of processor architecture. The architecture provides more performance per watt on general purpose code with better security than legacy architectures, and the architecture will be available as several members of a family with a performance range of approximately 16x. The memory architecture uses 64-bit pointers into virtual memory, and protection domains can be any size starting at a single byte.
