Greenpeace is comprised of 25 independent national/regional organisations in over 55 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, as well as a co-ordinating body, Greenpeace International. We work directly with communities on the frontlines as they protect the environments they call home. Omfattende ødeleggelser av Afrikas natur inspirerte den engelske biologen Sir Julian Huxley til å stifte WWF i september 1961. I dag er WWF, World Wide Fund for Nature, en av verdens største og mest respekterte uavhengige miljøvernorganisasjoner. Med flere enn 5 millioner støttespillere, kontorer i mer enn 80 land verden over, nesten 5.000 ansatte og mer enn 1.000 aktive naturvernprosjekter, spiller WWF en viktig rolle for verdens miljø. WWF driver et svært aktivt naturvernarbeid i felt, men også bak skrivebord, i laboratorier, i maktens korridorer og ved internasjonale forhandlingsbord. På www.panda.org kan du lese mer om WWFs arbeid internasjonalt. WWF i Norge ble grunnlagt i 1970 med daværende kronprins Harald som president. WWF er organisert som en stiftelse. Styret er ansvarlig for driften og ansetter generalsekretæren, som leder sekretariatet i Oslo med ca. 40 medarbeidere. I januar 2017 var antall givere 20.300. Vårt arbeid i Norge går ut på å beskytte og bevare naturverdiene og det biologiske mangfoldet i våre hav- og kystområder, i skogene våre, i våre innsjøer og elver og i fjellet. For å nå våre naturvernmål bruker vi mye tid på å påvirke norsk miljøpolitikk og lovverk. I tillegg støtter vi naturvern og utviklingsprosjekter i flere afrikanske land, på Balkan, i Sental-Asia og Kina. Arbeidet skjer i samarbeid med lokalbefolkning, lokale organisasjoner og myndigheter. Disse prosjektene utgjør mer enn 70 prosent av vår omsetning, og er i all hovedsak finansiert av Utenriksdepartementet og NORAD.

Save the Children is the world's leading independent organization for children, fighting for children's rights and for children to reach their full potential and live a dignified life, no matter who they are and where they grow up. Our focus is for children to be safe, healthy and learn and we create lasting positive change in children's lives in over 100 countries worldwide, including Norway. We protect children in war & conflict, help reduce the occurrence of diseases such as pneumonia, diarrhea and malaria and ensure good quality education. Recognized for our commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration, our work takes us into the heart of communities, where we help children and families help themselves. We constantly find new ways to reach children who need us the most and lead the work to reduce the negative effects of Covid-19; on poverty, learning crisis and violence and abuse. We wrote the treaty that describes the rights of every child and for a century we have stood up for children and made sure that their voices are heard. With the children on the team, we collaborate with local communities, other organizations, governments & authorities, non-profit organizations and a variety of local and international partners while maintaining our own independence without political agenda or religious orientation. Together we achieve lasting positive change for children. Childhood means everything!
