Mikran d.o.o. started as an independent sales agency of international pulp, paper and board suppliers. The company was established in 1993 by a family who has been in the pulp and paper business for over 45 years. Already by 1999 we had grown to become one of the largest agents of international pulp, paper and board suppliers in the territory of former Yugoslavia. In years 1996 2006 we successfully developed publication papers market on behalf of UPM-Kymmene Corp., which resulted in a market share of more than 50% in 2006, when the business was taken over by UPM. In parallel our packaging division grew AssiDomaen - became Franchach and finally Mondi in years 1994 2011 to similar market positions, when the business was taken over by Mondi. Celebrating 22 years of successful development and growth, Mikran is making a radical step and is upgrading its business model to the needs of growing market segments. Today the company is actively contributing to development and marketing of new and specialty packaging materials in cooperation with Mondi, Smurfit Kappa as well as with other inventors of new and renewable materials. In our business model we are primarily focusing on the needs of consumers and brand owners.
