The MIGA project aims at realizing of a novel infrastructure to study applied and fundamental aspects of gravity using matter wave and optical interferometry techniques in a single instrument. This infrastructure will allow for a deeper understanding of the Earth’s gravity field and serve as a test bench for future low frequency (0.1-10 Hz) terrestrial gravitational wave detectors based on atom interferometry.
