Northwestern Michigan College is a publicly funded community college that serves people, organizations and businesses throughout the Grand Traverse region. We serve more than 50,000 learners annually. NMC offers associate degrees and professional certificates, and bachelor's degrees through the Great Lakes Maritime Academy and Great Lakes Water Studies Institute, including Michigan's first community college bachelor's degree. Partner universities grant baccalaureate, graduate and doctoral degrees through our University Center. NMC's extensive Extended Education program offers a wide array of personal and professional classes and certifications to more than 10,000 learners a year. NMC is also home to the Dennos Museum Center, Hagerty Conference Center, Lobdell's: A Teaching Restaurant, Rogers Observatory, and WNMC 90.7 FM Community Radio.

WXYZ 7 News Detroit is owned and operated by The E.W. Scripps Company and serves as Detroit's ABC affiliate station. Broadcasting nearly 60 hours of news programming each week, we are dedicated to providing our viewers with the information they need to take action in their daily lives. WKAR Public Media is part of the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University. The mission of WKAR is to connect people to powerful ideas that inspire personal growth, exploration of our world and positive change. It's a mission carried out every day by a staff of full -and part-time employees with expertise ranging across news reporting, electrical engineering, media production, graphic arts, bookkeeping, videography, audio recording and much more. The work of these talented and dedicated individuals touches the lives of more than a half-million mid-Michigan residents each week, and shapes the educational experience of Michigan State University's 40,000-plus student body. WKAR Public Media is headquartered with offices and studios in the Communication Arts and Sciences Building on the southwest part of the MSU Campus.
