MIDAS Information

MIDAS Magazine is a premier arts and culture magazine at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Drawing inspiration from the ancient mythos of King Midas and his golden touch, MIDAS seeks to highlight the four pillars of artistry, identity, culture and lifestyle. Our mission is to illuminate the talents of the UNC Charlotte student body population and the burgeoning arts and culture scene in the greater Charlotte area. Since 2020, MIDAS has published ten issues amplifying the voices of creatives within our community. MIDAS is a nationally award-winning production that is entirely student-led and developed with the support of Niner Media’s professional staff and funding from the Student Activity Fees Commission. As part of UNC Charlotte’s Niner Media, MIDAS joins other student organizations such as Niner Times and Nova Literary-Arts Magazine.
