Mid Essex ITT (Teacher Training) Information

For 25 years Mid Essex ITT has successfully trained over 500 teachers. We are looking for ambitious trainee teachers who are passionate about their subject and have a desire to share that with young people of all abilities. Mid Essex is a school-based Initial Teacher Training scheme, offering a one year, full-time course. Many trainees on our fee-paying courses are eligible for a bursary or scholarship of up to £30,000. We also offer salaried courses too. We will train you to teach at a local, secondary school in Essex for four days of the week - for the fifth day, you will attend training at our central offices. After successfully completing the course, you will be awarded QTS and a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (ProfGCE), accredited by the University of Greenwich. Mid Essex ITT is unique in that all our training is run by experienced, practising teachers. We have a small, friendly team of staff who get to know all our trainee teachers well and are able to offer personalised support on a weekly basis. We are based at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form and have links with over 20 secondary schools around Essex.
