Microbeam Services is an Australian-owned mineral consultant company that was started up by Graham Hutchinson in 1989. Its clients have included many major Australian diamond and base-metals exploration companies, including De Beers Australia, Rio Tinto, and BHP Minerals (now BHP Billiton). Before founding Microbeam Services, Graham worked in the diamond exploration industry in South Africa for eighteen years, including eight years managing the mineral analysis facility at Anglo-American Research Laboratories in Johannesburg, which was used by De Beers for all microanalysis and imaging of Diamond Indicator Minerals.
