Manctl was founded with the ambition of helping to transfer the latest computer vision technologies from academic labs to end-users. We believe that current 3D scanners are too expensive, and current 3D scanning software is too complicated. This limits the potential of 3D scanning applications to high-profile businesses that can afford both the devices and the trained operators. By providing a low-cost and user-friendly scanning alternative based on the widely available Kinect hardware, we will allow the current 3d scanning market to eventually reach the general public.
